APPLICATIONS

Fractionated fatty acids are mainly used in cosmetics, derivatized into their esters and salts.
In powders, when blended with inorganic compounds they provide a feel of softness and oiliness, adhesion to skin, and resistance to water. In shampoos, foam-bath and cleaning products, FFA esters are used as superfatting agents, modifying viscosity and increasing skin tolerance, among other properties.
